Download report as PDF, export to Excel, or create a shareable link (localStorage).

How to Use

  1. Select Project Type – Choose from slab, beam, column, footing, or full building.
  2. Choose Unit – Meters or feet. All dimensions will convert automatically.
  3. Pick Concrete Grade – M15, M20, M25, or define a custom mix ratio.
  4. Enter Dimensions – Fields change dynamically based on project type.
  5. Adjust Advanced Settings (optional) – Open collapsible panel to modify cement bag weight, dry volume factor, steel %, and wastage.
  6. Set Cost Rates (optional) – Provide local prices for cement per bag, sand/m³, aggregate/m³, steel/kg.
  7. Click “CALCULATE NOW” – Results update instantly, charts refresh, and total cost appears.
  8. Export or Share – Use PDF, Excel, or shareable link buttons to save or distribute estimates.

Calculation Logic

All calculations follow standard civil engineering practices:

1. Wet Volume

Wet Volume = Length × Width × Height (for slabs, beams, columns, footings).
For Full Building: wet volume = (slab volume + beam/column allowance + footing allowance) based on floor area and number of floors.

2. Dry Volume

Dry Volume = Wet Volume × Dry Volume Factor (default 1.54). Accounts for voids and shrinkage.

3. Cement, Sand, Aggregate Quantities

For a given mix ratio (C : S : A):
Cement Volume = (C / (C+S+A)) × Dry Volume
Cement Bags = Cement Volume / 0.035 (1 bag = 0.035 m³)
Sand Volume = (S / Total) × Dry Volume
Aggregate Volume = (A / Total) × Dry Volume
All quantities then increased by wastage percentage.

4. Steel Reinforcement

Steel Weight (kg) = Wet Volume × (Steel % / 100) × 7850 (density of steel).
Steel % can be adjusted in advanced settings (e.g., 1–2% for beams, 0.8–1% for footings).

5. Cost Calculation

Total Cost = (Cement Bags × Price per bag) + (Sand m³ × Price per m³) + (Aggregate m³ × Price per m³) + (Steel kg × Price per kg)

Advanced Settings

Cement bag weight
Default 50 kg. Change if using different bag size.
Dry volume factor
Usually 1.54 for concrete. Adjustable for different aggregates.
Steel percentage
Percent of concrete volume used for reinforcement. Affects steel quantity.
Wastage percentage
Adds extra material to account for on‑site losses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I enter dimensions in feet?

The tool automatically converts feet to meters for all calculations. Results are always in metric units (m³, kg).

Q: Can I use the calculator offline?

Yes! Once loaded, the tool works entirely in your browser without an internet connection (except for external CDNs on first load).

Q: How accurate are the estimates?

The calculator follows standard IS codes and industry practices. Always add a contingency margin as actual site conditions may vary.

Q: Does the full building estimate include walls?

It includes slabs, beams/columns (approx 12% of slab volume), and footings. Wall masonry is not included; the tool focuses on RCC works.

Q: How do I reset all fields?

Refresh the page, or manually clear input fields. Saved calculations remain in localStorage until overwritten.
